A Nonprofit Dedicated to Help Children
The mission of Florida’s 4th Judicial Circuit’s Guardian ad Litem program is to recruit, train, support and supervise volunteers, also known as court appointed special advocates, to speak for the best interests of children who are alleged to be abused, neglected or abandoned and who are involved in court proceedings. Guardians become familiar with the child and the child’s case in order to make recommendations to the court that help ensure a safe, caring, stable and permanent home environment.
The Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Florida’s First Coast is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to help abused children through support of the Guardian ad Litem program for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit that includes Clay and Duval county. All donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and used to benefit children directly, in recruiting and training more volunteers, so that more child abuse victims can be represented by Guardians ad Litem in court.
